But when you own a pro football team do you really have to rely on the comparative pennies you bring in from on-site advertising?
If I owned the Rams I'd banish any form of advertising that didn't involve the Rams.
I want people to watch highlights, to have fun and to maybe consider attending a game. I couldn't give a $%#@ about which car insurance they bought or whether I earned 9.7 cents from you watching an ad.
The revenue earned compared to the experience gained without ads makes zero sense to me.
Jerry turned a bunch of millionaires into billionaires by figuring out how to squeeze money out of companies like Nike, Pepsi and others.....they tried to sue him back in the day for figuring out how to make all that money, fast forward 30 years and they put him in the HoF.
If you had a business, wouldn't you try to make the most money you possibly could?
I will say it doesn't bother me much, it's not like Europe where the soccer teams uniform is a giant ad for some car company or airline.....now that would drive me nuts.
