Blinkscout Game 12 ... Cards trap game survived

There was an interesting aspect to this game that I saw after we were up ... and since it's just a hunch I am not numbering it.

We started taking shots we wouldn't normally take. I REALLY liked doing that. It accounted for some 3 and outs ... but any one of them that hit would have put the game basically out of reach and given us more opportunity to pressure Gabbert into mistakes.
But after a few stalled drives we went back to normal and marched down the field methodically.

This means our two speeds are "fast" and "HOMERUN" rather than Fisher's "kinda slow" and "prevent offense."

That's really refreshing.


The Great

1) Our Safety play. I have been just saying bits and pieces ... and mainly about JJ3 ... but Joyner had himself a game and JJ3 is playing really fast. Can we pay Joyner? I don't know ... can we put a small tag on him? Doubt that works. Either way I like our chances going forward with the way they have been playing. Also, if I'm not mistaken most of our sacks were coverage sacks.

2) Finishing.

3) Pharoh Cooper. Dang dude.


The Good

4) Seeing Reynolds get meaningful snaps.

5) Ebukam getting his feet wet.

6) The CHANGE in run defense in the 2nd half. Seriously how good is Wade at adjusting?

7) Losing our MLB didn't sink us.

8) Robey Coleman playing faster ...

9) The play design that got Sammy open for a TD.

10) Giving Everett the chance to body-up in the end zone on 4th and goal.


The Bad

11) Whit scaring us with a seemingly slowed foot speed.

12) Tree's injury. Need him healed up.

13) Missed INTs.

14) Run defense in the first half, as always

15) Larry Fitzgerald not retiring yet. And passing Ike on the all time yards against us. Ugh.



The thoughts on college

16) I will be looking more closely at OT going forward ... didn't want to have to, but I want to know if someone end sup at the end of round 1, if we should take them. Or if we may want to trade back and take someone else in the second ...
