I wondered about giving Kromer the OC title but given the fact it is set up as a Run Game Coordinator and a Pass Game Coordinator it may not be ideal to do that now. I would ask Stan to pay him like a top OC. The loss of LaFleur was not so noticeable, but I think losing Kromer would be noticeable. Some new HC or a HC worried about being fired may make a run at Kromer as their new OC this offseason. I'd anticipate it and prepare to prevent it. The Rams need to keep this run game. I think Wade stays and McVay stays. I don't want Kromer to walk. The team is doing a nice job locking up players. Those three coaches together seem like the core group. (We know Bones is great at his job too. I think he has less opportunity being a ST coach to move up and out the door. Ditka, Vermeil and baby Harbaugh did it so he could get an offer and move on but they were rare exceptions in NFL history).
Whit is playing at a high level. Every year Notebloom gets to spend watching and learning from him will be beneficial. The day Whit decides it's enough I would offer him an assistant OL coach job. I'd groom Whit to take over the OL coach to keep running that zone block scheme if Kromer does get poached.
