USC has a great following. However, there are USC fans here who are Niner fans. There are USC fans here who are Bear fans. There are USC fans here who are GB fans. There are USC fans here who are Patriot fans, on and on. I suspect that if you studied Michigan State fans -those who live there and those who went to school there-you would find the great majority to be Lion fans. That dynamic simply doesn't work here for obvious reasons already gone into. But that doesn't mean the majority of fans at Ram home games won't be rooting for the Rams. It just means that it won't be as if it were a Patriot game in New England.
Now that wasn't true in the 40s and early 50s-for reasons we have already discussed (i.e. So Cal post war boom wasn't yet in full throttle.)

I can accept this. It doesn't ruin my enjoyment of being a Ram fan at the Coliseum in the least bit.
