I can hear all of that bias in his take so it makes perfect sense now that you give me some more context
Rock - he could talk about his accuracy on the move needing to improve, or for that matter the trouble he is having throwing a consistent deep ball (he regressed this week). He could talk about Goff's reluctance to make the big more difficult throw (especially earlier this year). I mean there is a ton to examine and that can be done without tearing the kid apart. It just adds a ton more value when you talk about areas of strengths and weaknesses/improvement
McVay is clearly managing him at the los... heck a couple of times I have seen Goff look over to the sideline and get the play directly. Nothing wrong with that and I assure you Pederson did it last year with Wentz
But... I just feel like Waldman can balance some of the gushing out with a few observations regarding areas of improvement. Just my take... not trying to spoil the party.
Heck both of you know I have defended Goff. Some people were ready to slit their wrist after the preseason game against the Chargers while I was saying "Are you kidding me... calm down he didn't even get a chance to play his way out of it"
