I can't say for sure because, as with all fans, I'm extra sensitive when I perceive bias against my team. But IF the Saints pull out a victory against the Woods-unanchored Rams, I have a strong feeling that most national pundits would merely want to crow about the return of the Saints and the nearly-forty Brees. As said above, nearly every team is missing important starters, so it does help bring it to a level playing field.
But I think that the sports media seemed to prefer reporting on the Rams losing in LA, as the "just desserts" for "abandoning their fanbase" in STL. Moving, then winning a year later, seems to be perceived as less exciting than 2 terrible teams tanking in LA as "monuments of greed and disloyalty and waste."
