Honest evaluation? What does that mean la? That’s what I mean when I say cloak & dagger. There are plenty of people that have disagreed with you and gotten a good old smack down if it runs against what you think. Surely that cannot be so puzzling.

Yeah but we are talking about the Rams starting QB. You have never talked about what he does well, how he has progressed, or let alone the good deep ball he throws. Based on that people are going to think you don’t like him. Especially with the team at 7-3, his Qb rating near 100, and the overall dramatic improvement in his play and leadership.

3) You mentioned b&g and govane (not by name) and the value of the stills. B&G points out where Goff misses however, he also compliments Goff and points out when he makes a good read or play. I don’t know that I have ever heard you say anything positive about Goff until this post. Based on that alone people will draw the conclusion that you don’t like him. Glad to hear that’s not the case. Personally I’m not alarmed by the stuff you mention because IMO he’s playing like a young QB plays. I want to see a progression of growth though and I think we are getting that. Not by name? I said B&G and Govane, I don't know their real names! lol I did mention he throws a great deep ball, but my post is not about me liking or disliking him man its about the progression I want to see him make. I don't get how that's being missed

Hmmm why are you getting caught up on my mention of b&g and govane. I acknowledged you mentioned B&G by name but misspoke on govane <shrug>. You also mentioned being accused of not liking a player as “lazy and superficial”. However, I’ve laid out what I think is a solid argument to support the take that you didn’t like him. I’m also certain many in this thread thought the same. Here for the first time you give some indication that it’s not the case. Ok gotcha. We now know. It would be great to hear you talk more about some of the good things he’s doing as well. Rather than focusing only on missed throws when the Rams lose.


Good to have you back la. Nothing wrong with being critical. That kind of thinking adds value to these discussions but if you don’t sprinkle in some positive acknowledgment that the guy has grown significantly folks are going draw conclusions and of course you did say before the season that by game 8 McVay would have to make a decision between Goff and Manion. No he hasn't man I got plenty of stuff on the site about him including I bet PaulButcher 5 yrs ago when Woody came out that Woody and Patterson would be better than Tavon and Hopkins so I've always known what he was.
