Knowing football and ignoring the fact that those nuances take time. You know football and you focus only on Goff and so you only know what you think the read and options are. You also don't know what they are for the other team either. If it were as simple as you are glossing over you have to consider the fact that Rams have coaches and quality control folks with knowledge of what you do not looking at those stills and will not all agree on your vantage or knowledge of the game over their knowledge of the the game plan.
Goff is not the only one who is learning the nuances of the game. You cannot ignore timing and rhythm of the progressions and reads. You cannot without recall and replay determine if the defense did as expected or how a lineman of Whitwrth's ability was unable to get over and block a defender on a screen to Watkins early in the game.
You have the luxury of hindsight without the script or without a knowledge of what the players are supposed to be doing and certainly will end up defending drops and no catches by using your hindsight to say if only the ball was thrown sooner, lower leading or on the numbers.
The veteran stars make it look like it was part of the game plan as they rack up completions or we celebrate their awareness and the players just making plays for them and even credit them for those players knowing what to do and enforcing a high level of play. No attention is made to the alternatives they had or if they forced the ball its all genius.
This is why I hate the suggestions that some how we would know enough to pass early judgment. The fact is, with replay and rewind we can pause and focus on everything and guess but it does not change the play or add any enjoyment. If that is what you enjoy fine but certainly there is room for fandom.
You listed a number of players you did not like and the reasons (though not all provided) likely support your impression certainly there are those you like that are not perfect or have failed just as easily and do not support your impression.
Its damning and disappointing to most fans to learn that a player is "not getting it" and when it is rumored that they are failing or looking like a bust. To hear it from you; well, I am just glad that with all that has been posted you are a fan and I can weigh an take in your position and know that I can disagree with or without the stills to support me. Until McVay says the same my eyes tell me we have a QB that is progressing and growing at a much more rapid rate than you surmise and whatever limitations he has at this stage is the coaches responsibility as well as his teammates.
