I think Austin and Cooper get lions share of snaps at Z. Reynolds has been playing X, behind Sammy. The Z has too many motions and other things to do, it takes some experience. Austin has started there and Cooper has more time under his belt.

Hopefully Webster will be back, R-Coleman, too. Countess and #36, as has been pointed out, cannot get it done.

After Donald and Brockers, there is a significant dropoff in talent on the dline. I was not fan of Brockers leaving nose and going to 5-tech, but he';s been excellent but was excellent at both. But his replacements at nose, Walker, Smart and Westbrooks Cannot get it done. Walker is blah. Smart makes too many errors and Westbooks is too small. Westbrooks is an end, and a 4-3 strong side end at that.

If we put the best nose tackle out there, then we lost our best DE (5-tech). But I think I would rather have Brockers at nose and rotate Westbrooks, Fox, Walker at DE. Now we have Brockers at DE, with Fox spelling him and Westy starting at nose and Walker backing him up.

But that won't happen. So, I think they will go back to Smart at nose and have Walker back him up. Westrbook back to spelling Donald.

When you watc the tape, Westbrooks fights hard but is just too small. Walker is big put can not move.

Solid take
Some discontent for me with the work at DL. But just some.
Thought the Vikings did a real fine job of neutralizing our main guys.
Of all things, too, Barron who has been very good at finding ways to be disruptive just didn't have that game. Credit to Case, too, on that point
I knew I'd be missing Dominique Easley. Sort of forgot that early as we won without him, and for matter, Aaron Donald.

Walker is big, but has shown some hustle. In fact, I thought the guys overall did well against Russell Wilson. It was another of those type of QBs
They weren't so effective against Keenum; and just one last nod to Case. He was tough son of a gun behind the wretched offensive line last year. In many ways, Keenum is a better evader than any QB in the NFL right now.

Looking forward? Is Brees still a runner?
I have some hope that they can contain him to the pocket.
And Quinn really, really, really needs to stop being such an easy take down. He's got more grass stains on his chest than he ought to.
Did the club have the right cleats for the Vikes field?

It will be interesting to see who goes to the Z. I actually think they'll look to Cooper Kupp to play the part of Woods. Both P Cooper and Austin give up some size; You're dead on Reynolds. He's been taking Watkins spot. They're in an odd spot. Have to think that it's more Watkins and Kupp in Z. Reynolds and Thomas to rotate the X

Do believe that McVay's ability to develop Everett as a WR is on display here. He's the one guy who has measurables, and can add that set of hands to offense that can't be addressed by a defense.
