well he has a ways to go
but absolutely is showing big time ability and smarts... heck right now McVay is doing a ton of thinking for him at the los. They run that hurry up on purpose
but the thing is Minnesota outsmarted the Rams and as McVay would instruct Goff what play to get into they very smartly would adjust accrodingly
At some point Goff is not going to need McVay to do all of his thinking.
I agree that his accuracy suffers significantly when hes running ...and he can be a bit awkward at times. For example the slip and fall on the miss to Gurley. I still don't understand what happened there.
Goff is showing a ton of growth. I love it... and hes a tough guy too.
I've really grown to like the kid but hes still a work in progress for sure

Put away the stat sheet. Turn off the sound so you can't hear the announcers. AND JUST WATCH THE GAME! USE YOUR EYES AND BELIEVE THEM!
Stats are not unimportant; but you must use them within a context or they are not especially useful.
Goff was worth what the Rams gave for him. He is going to be a superior QB for the next decade. We just need the players around him to develop a bit more. Maybe an addition or 2 (I think that the most glaring need is that we do not have the in-line TE that we need. A TE that can block a DE, who is tall and long with strong reliable hands.......speed not that important......a 4.85 guy is plenty enough).
And Goff needs to work this offseason mainly on throwing on the run; his accuracy suffers quite a bit and I have no doubt that with some instruction and technique he can improve it.
