And throughout the greatest show on turf. But it wasn't true.
I totally get your point and it's very thought-provoking
I'm not sure it's true here but it sure looks that way after the Seattle and Viking teams shut us down in losses
Contrast that to 1999.
The Tampa game in the playoffs on January 23, 2000 is the toughest street fight game I've ever seen and at the end our 1999 offense was the junkyard dog still standing at the top of the pile.
And a week later to beat another physical team in the Titans was very impressive and prove the label that some tried to assert wasn't true
I don;t know. Why wasn't the label true? You can be a finesse team and still win too, right?
Tampa and Tenn were the 2 most physical teams they played, and the avg of the 3 combined scores was 18.3-15.3 (3, because they played Tenn twice). Also in those three games they have a 66.7% winning percentage. .
With everyone else (playoffs included) it averaged 34.7-15.9 and an 87.5% winning percentage.
The thing was, the 99 Rams also had a defense that was 6th in yards and 4th in points allowed. The 2 wins against Tampa./Tenn both ended on defensive plays.
