They ran the ball well when the other teams knew it was coming against Colts, Niners, Cards, Jags, Cowboys, Giants and Texans...this team can and will run the ball, I just think the game script in the losses didn't help the run game much...Gurley isn't 4th in NFL in rushing by being on a finesse offense. I think it's just that we are a more dynamic pass offense and not a typical smash mouth offense....I thought the Rams should have done a better job yesterday though trying to get the run established...it seems they went away from it pretty quickly.
The teams we have lost to all have really good defenses, there is no shame in it to me.
However, I do wish we had a nice mixture of backs like the Eagles do...it seems Gurley is our only RB who runs the ball. I'd like to see some Davis mixed in soon just to change things up and give Gurley a rest once in awhile...after getting over the first game nerves and fumbles, I really liked what I saw in his game.
