You need a good GM and Coach and they need to be on the same page.
Sometimes that is the same person like in New England.
GM needs to be judged on how many good players they add to the roster.
All GM even the best miss on players focus should be on how many they hit on and how many are home runs.
Snead Home runs: Donald, Goff, Grurley, Heckker, Tree via the Draft, Whit, Woods via FA, Barron via Trade. (Hoping Watkins add to this list)
Snead has a lot of homers and our roster if full of young and promising players the are perfect for our coach.
Fisher was in charge of Snead and that screwed some stuff up and Fisher was not good at developing players plus he had no offensive plan. Fisher loved the physical talent wasn't big on brains.
McVay is great at coaching up players, wants smart players, productive players that are also good athletes and Snead will find those types of guys for the coach.
I love the tandem of McSnead and it appears they really enjoy working together successfully
