How important is it for this club to establish and control the line of scrimmage in the Houston game from the get go?
Massive
The losses continue to mount at home for the Rams
Immense credit to the new head coach in getting this offense on track.
But going 1 of 3 on the year at home thus far has a lot of tarnish on the season.
And, I'm as guilty as anyone of peeking at the road game in the twin cities.
I could go on a long rant about the Vikings, and the Rams, and already pointed to the overtime loss there in 2015 as the moment of implosion for that season
That game is "next hinge point."
First things first.
I am still horrified by the numerous miscues in the Seahawk game.
Add the defensive lapses in the Redskin game, and it is all about establishing home field advantage early in the Houston game.
We had a TD yanked off the board in the Seattle game after a beautiful drive to open that game. Better yet, the play that was ruled a fumble at the pylon was a brilliantly designed one.
Get the home game; get it big, and get the kinks out of the some of the stuff.
Let the crowd play a part in the outcome. Fisher stole that moment from us given a chance at going for it on 4th down in the Bills game. I certainly hope that McVay plays for the win at home. Get that done first and then I can more easily start forecasting the season. I've downed the koolaid but this home game is an essential win.
