It's really pretty funny. How out of touch with reality can a local sports media get?
They are beating the drum to sign Kapernick asap to run the Texans offense the rest of this year.
They're actually serious.
First, just how long might it take Kap, who hasn't played in a LONG time, to get into football shape?
Second; might it not be helpful for your QB (who is not necessarily known as a Rhodes Scholar) to know the playbook? That probably takes longer than a plane ride from SoCal to Houston.
Third; didn't Bob McNair, the OWNER of the Texans, go off the other day concerning the player protests? And now the media expects the owner to OK hiring the idiotic player who started this whole mess?
Funny what panic will do.
Houston's goose was cooked the minute Watson went down. And it'll stay cooked until next year.
It gets better. Against the highest scoring team in the league, the Rams, the Houston Texans will fly to SoCal and send out (wait for it) Tom Savage....he of the 60 QB rating....to face a very good and getting better every game Rams defense. Then the Texan 20th rated defense in the league that is allowing 26 ppg will face the McVay offensive machine that has scored 84 points.....in it's last two games.....and averages 33 ppg.
Good luck.
