Or you could say, "I don't care. Fisher didn't do as well as McVay would have or other coaches under the same or similar circumstances."
I.e. He didn't maximize the talent he DID have. This is of course what Demoff said after Fisher's termination.
McVay has never been under those particular circumstances.
In fact name examples of anyone who has and who did well.
I've asked that for years. No answer. A few attempts at an answer that did not hold up because the responder didn't account for everything I said.
And yes he maximized the talent he DID have. I would say that going 7-9 etc under those conditions is doing well considering.
Again...unless you can name someone who did better under the specific conditions I named.
....
An opinion is an opinion.
Mine - and apparently Demoff's since he's the one who said they didn't maximize their talent - feels that he should have done better despite the obvious hardships he faced.
I know you feel differently which is ok. Let's agree to disagree.
I doubt they fired Fisher for the reasons you're assuming.
And I am not offering an opinion, it's pure fact. No one can name teams that did well when the majority of the time they had to field both a damaged and/or inexperienced OL and a #2 caliber qb. That's not opinion.
There's a lot to dispute beyond that but yeah those conditions had the biggest effect of anything.
So yes I will stick to that so yes we should agree to disagree.
I am therefore out.
I look forward to agreeing with you on something else (that's sincere and not ironic).
