The offense seems to be somewhat in disarray
I hear all that about JVille dbs and pass rush but we were not in sync and I am not feeling that fluidity on offense that I saw in the first 3 weeks.
Either teams are figuring us out which I doubt or we are sorta not mastering the basics. It seems we keep trying to do different stuff and in many ways try to mirror our opponents styles. Run emphasis vs run emphasis teams and pass emphasis vs pass emphasis teams. Its odd because I am not seeing us get enough WRs open or TE targets which was to be a staple. Our our WR overrated. Josh Reynolds needs to get some opportunities if Sammy cannot focus. If McVay doesn't figure out Sammy we need to start focusing on Reynolds development.
The way the game is being called is impacting our QB, OL and WRs and we had better figure it out real soon.
My son calls it risk averse play selection and while that is good on one hand it also could stifle the development of the QBs and impact the confidence of the WRs as well. They are now losing targets and perhaps opportunities as we get into the gotta have it plays where they drop out of the progressions.
Show displeasure? Austin can't seem to do his job in any capacity. Woods is getting fed and he's making mistakes, Watkins is dropping balls or isn't interested in the play if his number is called in the snap.
Kupp and Higbee are fighting on plays when they don't go as planned. They are fighting for their QB. If you work to get open or work to go get it you will get the ball. Period.
