Who is to say what the “standard size” for an OLB in a 3 4 D is anymore, PHD?
Everything is a changin’ anymore in modern D’s. The size of MLB’s in a 4 3 D, for example. How often teams are in nickel. Or even dime. CB’s and S’s are becoming almost interchangeable. And on and on.
Modern D’s seem to value speed more and more. And Tree definitely has speed.
All I’m suggesting is that Wade might be thinking outside the box. And he might still be in a tinkering mood.
I’m not pounding the table. Just putting some thoughts out there.
