You and I think alike. I was not pleased with the play calling at all on Sunday. McVay definitely was having a hard time figuring out the Hawks defense.
He was predictable too. His first play each 1st down seemed to be a run. Hawks were clearly stacking the box all day and he never seemed to counter it effectively. BTW Sammy Watkins, why is he on the roster? They threw maybe two or three passes his way and then he became the forgotten man. On the very last pass Goff threw after the Kupp drop I thought Watkins was open on a corner route in the right corner of the back of the endzone but Goff never looked his way.
I just don't think Sammy is utilized enough in this passing game.
