He does what the coaches/scheme ask of him at a very high level. The only "problem" has been that what he has been asked to do isn't flashy enough for fans. Winning is the first key to getting underrated players like him recognized, or changing up what he's asked to do to show more of his abilities...both are happening now.
First off, good to see your post, Flip.
Brock has always been a "toolbox" guy. Just comes in and gets the job done. Has even gotten grief for doing just that. But I like what he said about new expectations and that he wasn't just seen as a plug-in. They asked for more, and he was excited to give it. That's the kind of thing that gives life to veteran players.
And ya, winning heals all wounds.
My little guy and daughter don't leave much time for posting though. I think winning is going to become the norm with McVay, really bright football mind and seems to understand todays players. He was also smart enough to higher basically a defensive genius in Phillips who is quickly realizing Brockers can do more.
