Re: Great White Cage Diving......Tell us more.

Hey oldschool! Well, I didn't wanna bogart the thread.. Normally I dive with sharks out in the open, but have never dove with Great Whites before.. have wanted to since 1975, when Jaws came out.. Finally got a sweet 2 for 1 deal and jumped on it like a Great White breaching with a seal.. Yeah, I'd absolutely do it again.. Fly into San Diego, cage diving company takes you over the border to Ensenada, board the boat, 20 hour boat ride to Guadalupe Island, 3 full days of cage diving while living on the boat.. 3 full meals a day plus snacks included..

Our price was $2700, but, like I said, we got a 2 for 1 deal and we also got the biggest, best room on the boat.. The majority of rooms are below and REALLY small and you hafta bunk with other peeps.. we got our own room on an upper deck with a door to the deck and our own bathroom and windows etc...

Excellent experience.. First day was slow until about noon.. after the first shark showed up, our boat was LOUSY with Great Whites the rest of the trip.. the last day we had 25 different male Great Whites.. I have video of 3-4 in the same frame, at times.. 14-16 footers.. Just amazing.. The females had not shown up yet, although one small one (15 foot) was there.. females get larger than males and show up around Sept/Oct.. I see reports from the boat and they are seeing lots of them now..

I only have 3 vids online so far.. I shot about 400 vids and haven't had time to edit more, but I have vid of them even closer than this.. Here they are along with the tour company we went with - they are outstanding..
