they fought hard before collapsing ... we just have forgotten
3-1 (a couple of very close wins that really could have gone either way)
then
30-19 loss at home to Bills (game closer than score but offense could not move the ball against that defense.)
31-28 loss at Lions - Keenum has freakish break out game but defense fails the team
17-10 loss in London to Giants
13-10 loss to Panthers in LA
9-6 Rams win in NY (Jets)
14-10 loss in Miami
bottom falls out
this team is much better and they have show down 14 don't sweat it but the Rams fought kicked and scratched last year before eventually succumbing under the weight of that offense
What this 2017 team has to do is find that defense that showed up and in the 2nd half of Dallas and make sure it sticks around. If it does then this appears to be at the very least a wild card contending team
I think that's fair. But, the minute they did not have a running game last year, then, they were not going to be carried by a #2 caliber qb and/or a green as they come rookie.
And why didn't they have a running game? I have heard lots of reasons and in fact they all sound right to me, it's just that I think they ARE
all correct to an extent...which means the reasons are multiple (and part of it but just part of it was Gurley himself).
But then this is all just post-mortem. Going forward they are a far better team on a lot of levels. In part because (IMO) trading up for Goff WAS the right move. And I don't particularly care who gets credit for it...I just care that they have a qb.
