Can you imagine the Rams offense on artificial turf instead of that terrible natural grass turf in the coliseum? Seems like the Rams offense can be even more explosive playing on artificial turf. What do you guys think? Gurley seems to have his biggest days on artificial turf. That grass field slows him down. I wonder if the Rams can have that grass surface replaced with field turf.
Turf ends careers. Turf radically increases risk of injuries. It also wildly exacerbates the chance of concussions. A player is basically hit twice -- by the player and then the ground.
My take: The league needs to do everything it can to radically reduce injuries, especially to the head, and playing on natural grass is one of the best ways to do that. It's also "old school," which I prefer in most cases.
