Keenum was proof that you don't need a top arm to throw deep---in fact, someone like Boller had the arm but was scattershot deep. CK had had everything else--timing, anticipation, accuracy. He threw his share of those with the Rams, too.
So Keenum played well in Shurmur's offense, replacing Bradford.
It's the Rams North Central.
The thing with CK though was, he wasn't wired to be a comeback kid in the clutch. So the Rams might have won another game or 2 with him if they could have run the ball and if he hadn't thrown a game or 2 away (like the Detroit game).
As a matter of fact, probably the real difference between CK today with the Vikes and CK last year in the Lions game was that he didn't have to come from behind. Otherwise, in the Lions game he was 27 of 33 for 321 and 3 TDs. Not that different from today. It;s just that against the Lions, he just threw a pick late to kill a chance at a win.
