And I utilize the word "interesting" in a very imprecise way.
Wade really just made excuses for the D's performance by talking about Webster being out and Joyner getting hurt.
Talked a lot about Donald, said he made some mistakes but made mistakes at full speed.
Said he came in in great shape but they wanted to work him back in.
He feels like he has the players BUT his overall theme was guys making mistakes which is the causation for the poor results.
DIdn't really take any ownership at all you know by saying we gotta coach these guys up better, put them in better positions.
Its a piece that Jim Hill has every Saturday on CBS2. Jim Hill is really a jack of all trades... master of none.
He doesn't really ask the hard hitting questions that you might expect so he didn't really press Wade much at all.
We sat there thinking...hmmmm...we've kinda heard this type deflection before.
I dunno obviously Wade is a HOF level d-coordinator but he looks and acts OLD.
Looking and listening to him you can't help but wonder
IF he's lost his fastball.
Can he still get players attention and buy in?
As they say, where there is smoke...there is usually a FIRE.
I dunno, if this was the right fit.
I guess time will tell.
Best,
