Beyond a reasonable doubt is a criminal standard. That is a much higher burden of proof than is required in civil matters. An employer is not required to wait for a conviction in a criminal trial or find beyond a reasonable doubt before they can act if you violate a personal policy. A preponderance of the evidence is all that is required.
