Rams brethren,
I'd be amused to hear about some of your gut-reactions to some of the dramatic swings near the end of the game. Here are a few of mine:
Cooper fumble shoots up straight into the air: Screamed "NO!!" so loud that I almost woke up my kids. Seething anger at my Rams for putting me through this.
Niners recover onside kick: Shut my eyes and bent over in pain. Started imagining newspaper articles about "Niners miraculous comeback." Clinging to faint hope at McVay's pointing out a possible penalty... then accepting the horrible truth that the play would stand.
Third and ten for Niners on their last drive: Handed the iphone to my wife and said, "Here, you watch it and tell me what happens. I can't take it." (I don't get NFL network on my TV so I was watching it on my iphone). Then, I snatch iphone back from my wife and say, "Never mind, I'll watch."
4th and 20: Thinking, "Surely they can't screw up 4th and 20, right?" But then my mind wanders back to the Rams -Detroit game in 1999 when the Lions had fourth and forever and somehow managed to convert and pull off the upset.
Donald sack: Not happiness, Just relief.
It was a huge pleasure to watch the Rams' various successes on offense... but the very end of the game was tough.
So, tell us... what ridiculous things did you do and think during the 4th quarter last night?
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
