If you saw his interview on set with NFL Network after the game you could see in his face the sense of redemption, pride and relief he is starting to feel. Last year's awful season for him was partly based on circumstances around him, partly on himself. But he's clearly been reborn in this offense and under these coaches. He exhaled as if to say "that stuff is behind me..." It's great to see.
He's now averaging 127.0 yards/game from scrimmage. I think they need to give Brown (and Davis?) a few more reps going forward. Gurley is on pace for 405 touches and that's a lot to ask.
I also LOVED seeing how well he has developed as a pass blocker picking up blitzes. He saved Goff's bacon several times last night. Not unlike Steven Jackson who took a few years to become a solid blocker. Maybe Marshall Faulk- the best pass blocking RB I've ever seen- has been tutoring Gurley.
