I didn't even know who Jackson was when the Rams drafted him in the late rounds in 1968. He didn't even see the field in the games I watched. Jackson made the pro bowl in 1969 with the Eagles. For some reason, Allen was more impressed with Wendell Tucker, an undrafted guy who came off the taxi squad, who had ping pong paddles for hands.

That miscue by Allen may have cost us the Super Bowl in 1969.
