Those that study the game won't.
The stills show the defense, and where the holes or weak areas are in the defense.
It shows the routes that are being run against said defenses.
It shows the level of understanding the qb has in reading his indicators vs route combinations.
Meaning if Sammy for example has man coverage, whether or not the qb recognizes that or goes away from it.
If a qb is at the level where he can properly read coverages he knows where the holes will be.
And if he's not it will show that as well.
It shows a qb's predisposition to play halves, quarters or the entire field.
It shows ME exactly where the qb is in understanding his indicators.
The stills provide ME a prodigious amount of information and I value them.
Well, if the stills show that Goff is not seeing as much as a good Vet-QB...isnt that to be expected? Former Air-raid QB in his ninth or tenth game, and second system?
What i like about the stills (based on what you are pointing out) is that if they show Woods and Watkins and Kupp are often OPEN....well that sez a lot about McV's system dont it? The offensive system must be purty good -- so they just need a QB who can manage it, and be the point-guard.
I think almost all of us agree, Goff might be that guy -- he might not be.
Bring on his first road game of the year.
