I feel he out coached himself. Play calling was all over the place. Run game late not exploited enough. Run defense not up to snuff and perhaps we cut wrong LB. Barron was atrocious. Ogletree was not leading defense and did not have a clue what was going on in front of him.
The focus to get Donald in this week was not an advantage and basically we were under prepared for Skins offensive flexibility.
We showed very little versatility in the run game and we really need to clean up our line play on both sides. Hopefully by Thursday.
I think we got too cute and gimmicky on the offense and defense and we were slow to adjust. Could be personnel certainly we look a bit vulnerable in the defensive back field.
Considering the field position, play calls and penalties, Goff played about what you could expect. He was a little off but the play- calling had a lot to do with it. He has to work on not staring down Kupp. He needs to be asked to air out to Sammy at least 4 times a game. Of course that is part of play calling. The concept of taking what the defense gives you is only a great idea when you understand what they are giving you and why. I think a better game plan would have been taking what the defense can't defend and we really did not do that and they did.
Kupp did not factor much and he seemed a little off. I blame the game plan. I think McVay tweaked their routes a bit and it hurt us. Who is responsible for coaching WR down field blocking?

Everett aaaaugh this kid could have at least 2 big TDs today he slowed up worrying about who was behind him. unbelievable.
Still don't seem to have found a way to get TA going.
That said all correctable and nothing like experience to humble and refocus you.
I am still enjoying watching the development.
