Nope, no you don't.
Wasn't true for the Rams last time they had a franchise QB. Wasn't true for the Patriots and their franchise QB. Not true for the Cowboys franchise QB that they got in the same Goff draft. Wasn't true of the team's franchise QB we just played and lost to. Not true of the Packers (either of their last two franchise QB's) or Seahawks or Raiders or Ravens, etc., etc.
It's all about value and whether or not a team is actually good at properly assessing it. Green + tools is far less scarce than ready + tools. The kind investment the Rams made in Goff represented only the scarcest of assets. You appear to be admitting they got that calculation wrong, but want to defend getting it wrong anyway.
