IMO, the NFL will continue to have Thursday night football games as long as they are profitable, just like having regular season games in London. Or having games available only on the NFL network. I don't know if the NFL players association gets involved in negotiating game schedules, they might have some leverage to change it, if they want to.

Some people, I'm sure, just love Thursday night football. Some don't.
