Not judging him or anyone else but the players never bargained for the ability to opt out during any of their contract years.
The owners did bargain for the right to tear up said contracts with the players okaying it so long as the team paid all the
guaranteed money when doing so.
Think the players are going to want that kind of freedom moving forward and chances are there will be a strike or a lockout
next bargaining session. Good chance no football in 2021. Smith and Goodell do not like each other, maybe both the owners
and players may want to have others do the bargaining this time.
