It's complicated, I think. More complicated than I had hoped.
I just re-watched the game while mostly focusing on Brown and Hav.
At times they didn't sustain blocks that they could've sustained easily. And their man often was later involved in the tackle of Gurley as a result. It was as if they assumed that Gurley would've already blown by, but he hadn't.
Other times they simply clogged up the "hole" rather than opening it up. Nowhere for Gurley to go.
And Gurley often seemed to be a tad slow hitting a hole, tbh. Hesitancy due to lack of confidence in his OL? Himself? I dunno...
Run success seemed greater on the left side, not surprisingly.
Pass Pro seemed pretty danged good along the whole OL, so that much is not a big issue.
What does Kromer intend to do? Run blocking scheme changes? Personnel changes? Playcall changes? Again, I dunno...
A layman like myself can easily see that improvements need to be made if the Rams are entertaining any playoff hopes. But the details of those changes needed? I'm smart enough to know that I'm in over my head and I'll leave those details to our capable coaches.
