It's clear to me.
Frustrating perhaps but we are defined by our choices.
He will play for Rams and Rams will get most out of him one way or another.
Not good business to try to short circuit Rams with 2 years on contract if you are not an elite QB.
We saw Russell Wilson have to wait and he has a SB ring to his credit and multiple playoff wins.
It is not going to play out in Donald's favor mediawise or the Rams business wise if he gets everything he wants this soon without making concessions. I personally do not care if he is not going to be on the field for a month as long as we hold our position. If Rams stop taking calls from his agent until Donald Shows up at camp I would be happy. They do not have to publish it they only have to simply tell his people we are now focusing on our 53 man roster. When he is ready to sacrifice with his team and along side of those under contract negotiations are at a standstill.
Once season starts I would just plan like he is not on the team and simply view him as an exclusive rights FA who can come knocking at will. I also would have incentives in in his contract that will further penalize or reward him for limited play performance. This way he must prove he is ready to play and perform before he is put on the field. We should expect some results and not be penalized if he comes up lame as many do once they get paid.
This is business
Well then let's make sure Rams win in this business because Fans are often the ones that suffer when team blinks or falls asleep on business side.
Los Angeles Rams
Rap on.
