the day after the preseason game, what I took from it was he set Goff up to succeed and that he did some good things when things broke down a bit. He seemed encourage by saying something like, that's an NFL QB play or something like that.
I'm taking the preseason with a grain of salt. When the bullets start flying and teams start blitzing THAT is going to be the test, IMO. I think his play, albeit limited, has been promising. But it sounds like in practice they might try to put him in tougher places to succeed to see how he does. It sounds like he had some issues. All just conjecture.
I like Goff more than most probably and I wasn't down on his play last year. But, to me, he's a project. And last season he was put in some bad spots. I am hoping that is minimized this season.
