Re: Don't know about the Baseball analogy: but Watkins changes things

I think Watkins is definitely going to impact the running game in a positive way even if he's just pushing a CB one side 15 yards downfield on an intermediate pass route vs a deeper route.
Rams should be able to run right into a vaccume especially if Kupp is taking a nickel or safety inside on a slant.
Add a pulling guard or get a block from Everrett in motion on a safety or linebacker and it should be an explosive run play .
I don't know if Sammy s gonna Get the 30-50 yard passes frequently but I do think he'll Get dozens of 15 yarders and will have the free safety having to decide quick on attacking forward or backward on almost every play he breaks the huddle and it's not a obvious run.

I think if they chase Watson and Rams run draws or sweeps to Gurly he just needs a key block and boom.
..We'll see him getting to the Wider open spaces at the second or third level much more often like we saw in 2015.

A big difference for him happens without a DB or Safety near one side of
the LOS.
The Watson effect.??
.
So if Watson's just enough of a threat downfield mid distance (less than 20 yards) yeah it all changes and opens up both the running and passing lanes.

Pick your poison.

Maybe defences will worry more about Watkins for now regardless.
All about the pass these days really.
