I read some posts in which some Herd members weren't thrilled with the trade. I'm probably one of the more pessimistic posters on this board but I really love this move.
Do you want another year of overrated Tavon Austin as your speed receiver?
Do you want another year of defenses stacking 8 in the box on Gurley?
Would you have preferred the Rams wait and use their first rd pick next year to find a number one receiver rather than trading for an already established #1 receiver?
Don't you want defensive coordinators worrying how to stop Gurley, Watkins, etc?
Don't you want a receiver who coming out of college was rated higher than M. Evans and O. Beckham?
I'm aware he's had his injury issues but he had surgery in the offseason so hopefully he could now stay healthy. For a team that has had their share of poor receivers the past 15 years we finally have a stud. Aside from his presence helping Gurley, he will also help Woods, Kupp and the tight ends and especially help Goff.
With Sammy, Gurley, Whitworth, Donald, Quinn, Barwin, T. Johnson plus a new coach it's time we start talking playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/12/2017 01:36PM by droopy.
