rooting for Cooper but I'll pick Higbee

August 10, 2017 09:31AM
Goff is the obvious choice. But him aside I think Cooper is a bit of a forgotten man. I really like his skills and thought he was their best "value pick" of the 2016 draft. He probably begins the year as no better than their WR4 (and maybe WR5) but I think he could very much contribute. In fact if Austin doesn't perform I think it's Cooper that has the skill set to take some of his reps. Plus he'll be their primary KOR.

But I will predict Higbee as the biggest leap forward (he's tied to Goff of course). I think he could be a 50-55 catch guy. Again look at the lame routes they had Higbee running when he was in there. And I've posted before that when I went to the Saints and Patriots games last year I watched Goff look for Higbee quite a bit downfield only to get overwhelmed by the rush and have to go away from him (or get sacked).
