The guy had it in him, but he needed to heal, which even he could not admit at the time. The reason I went with Kurt was because he had a great nucleus around him that could have kept the GSOT going. The question mark was Martz, particularly his drafting problems.
A close second was Dickerson. Again, the Rams had a good team at the time, which quickly fell apart.
Third was Bettis. The HOF'er was a loss, a huge one, but the Rams at the time were a mess and would not have gone anywhere with him on the team, a lot like Steven Jackson. As an aside, I really believe if Jackson had played for a decent team, he would be in the Hall right now.
