Most undrafted FAs and late signings like this are unknowns. But then how many people knew anything about London Fletcher at this same stage in 1998. With Lyons, I had to look it up, and to read what others had put up around the net.
Lyons was a very physically gifted small school 3/4 DE, but also very raw. He spent the last 2 seasons on the Steelers;s practice squad.
I ain't making any promises with this guy, but Philips has gotten something out of this kind of prospect before.
