Because I'm definitely optimistic about the season, but I feel like the more interesting question is: "how bad does the record have to be for us to consider this season a failure?"
I personally just want to see signs of progress. Games can turn on a single play, but if Goff is making good decisions, receivers are catching passes, and the OL is doing a decent job, I'll be a happy camper.
I'm just speaking strictly for myself here, of course.
But for me 8-8 is the bare minimum to avoid a feeling of disappointment.
At 10-6, I'm a happy camper.
Anything beyond and my wife will have to sleep with one eye open, know what I mean? Lol.
