agreed. but they also had inferior equipment so you would think that the impact of the CTE would still show up even if not as strong.
in any event they need more longitudinal data such as this preferably with some baseline measures (i believe some HS are starting to do so) in order to see the effects over time.
the current evidence suggest that not all people are effected by cte in the same way. its very possible that some people are predisposed to the injury or have other problems before ever playing football. unfortunately, they just dont know yet.
