I don't get all the hand-wringing concerning McVay's age. If he's a good leader of men, smart, fair, savvy and knows his stuff, what difference does it make that he's 31? I think folks are making a lot more of this than is necessary. When Captain Richard Winters led the 101st Airborne's Easy Company (Band of Brothers) during WW2, he was only 26. When John Madden became the HC of the Raiders he was 32. When Gelusha Pennypacker was appointed Brigadier General in the Union army during the American civil war, he was 20. Mark Zuckerberg became the CEO of Facebook at 20. It's the character, maturity, intelligence and know-how of a person that counts. If McVay can do the job and produce results... his age won't matter, and maybe then people will stop harping on it.
