95% of Gurleys problem was FIshers offense

July 21, 2017 06:20AM
So easy to read, the 9 in the box, no need to defend many parts of the field, limited playbook, bad spacing,

the unreliability of Greg Robinson was 4%.

and 1% was Gurley just being a broken horse on having 5 guys gang tackle him that eventually it just sucked the will out of him.

I do grant though that physically he seemed less, but I think it all changes with a fresh start.

I remember Jabbar of the Lakers in the 1985 finals appear to be a physical wreck and too old to play. People saying his career is over after the first game of the NBA finals. He got reenergized and looked 10 years longer a week later.

In Gurley's case, I believe his indecisiveness and lack of burst was related to Battered Runningback Syndrome similar to battered quarterback syndrome.
