Barring injury, the 4th and 5th WRs on this team won't see very much action. Not that the teams are apples-to-apples of course, but just using the 2016 Redskins as an example since that was McVay's team. Their 4th WR (Ryan Grant) had 271 snaps- about 17 per game- and 9 catches. Their 5th WR (Maurice Harris) 131 snaps- about 8 per game- and had 8 catches. In 2015 Grant played somewhat more but because DeSean Jackson missed 6 games.
I think Reynolds ability as a vertical threat combined with his size and jumping ability could give him a good situational role in both downfield calls and the red zone. But that probably does equate to something like 17 snaps/game- if he wins the 4th WR spot.
