I think Kroenke wants Elway to run the team and may very well see him as the man who becomes the Rams owner when he decides to pass it on.
Elway would no doubt have mucho power and influence if he comes to the Rams as a part owner with the option to buy the team.

I'm pretty sure he is going to pass it on to his kids.....I can see him offering Elway a piece of the team though in trying to lure him in.
CR didn't pass the team on to Steve Rosenbloom. His kids have the Nuggets, Avalanche and Arsenal. They don't need the Rams.
Elway will demand the option to be the majority owner eventually if he comes to LA.

Sorry grits, but don't see what CR has to do with anything..... Kroenke is going to keep it in the family or sale to someone who has money.....Elway is quite rich, but nowhere near rich enough to be majority owner in the NFL.... John has a net worth of $145 million, not quite enough to own one of the parking lots in the new stadium.
