I think it's a close call between Faulk and Bruce but in general I agree with your point. He is to me without question one of the top 12 WRs to ever play. 4th in yards, 11th in receptions among WRs, he's 5th in yards/reception among WRs with 800+ catches. Great single seasons, longevity, postseason production. On and on and on.
But he wasn't an attention craving egotist who looked for outlandish ways to stay in the public's eye. In fact he was humble.
So he could not possibly have been a top NFL receiver.
