that he was never the best WR in the NFL at a given time. He was always one of the best.
Warner had that 1999 season which was one of the best of all times and Faulk dominated for 3 years 1999-2001, when he went from a 4.0 yards per carry type of guy to a 5.5 yards to carry type guy and doubled or tripled his touchdowns. He was having a warrick dunn / tiki barber type career up to that point. Kurt Warner's problem is he just didn't have that many great years. The ones he had were tremendous, but it was a mix bag, about 6 great years and about 5 so so years where a couple of them were not very good at all. I get most of that was health related, but when evaluating the entirety of the career the value of great years is a part of the overall package.
Pace was the best left tackle or at least in the top 2 or 3 for years, but people don't really remember that he started to drop off and get injured more often after the hold outs started and he wasn't prepared going into each season as well.
But I felt Bruce was a top 5 WR for a decade and when you add up season after season, you get all-time career stats and production over the entirety of the career.
Pace is the only one that I don't think deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, simply because of how much his contract holdouts hurt the team over those years. It cost the team wins and he didn't do it for the money. He did it just because he didn't want to work with the team. That to me would be a blackball.
Warner and Faulk while great and definitely hall of famers but to me didn't have quite the overall career Bruce did. Faulk was 11th all time rushing yards and Bruce was 4th all time receiving yards for example. Kurt Warner was 38th all time passing yards.
